Introducing the Folks at Stokes


Ron Binaghi Jr.
Stokes Farm is currently operated by Ron Binaghi Jr. Ron was the 2000 recipient of the New Jersey Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year Award and represented New Jersey at the national competition. His goal is to keep the farm in production for future generations to enjoy. You can find him every Saturday at the Union Square Greenmarket.

Ron Jr.'s fall pick: Leeks

Jeanine Binaghi
Ron Jr.'s wife, Jeanine, is the backbone of retail sales at home and is in charge of the planting of all 16 greenhouses. You can find her at the farm stand or at the River Vale Farmers Market.

Jeanine's fall pick: Butternut Squash

Ron Binaghi III
Ron Binaghi III is a 6th generation farmer, and co-owner and operator of Stokes Farm. You can find him every Thursday and Saturday at the Tucker Square/Lincoln Center Greenmarket on the Upper West Side with delicious produce, cooking advice & maybe a joke or two.

Ron III's fall pick: Acorn Squash

Christina Binaghi
Christina has been working markets with her husband, Ron III, since they started dating, but she has recently come on board full time at Stokes Farm as their marketing specialist, graphic/web designer. In the spring, you can also find her working at the garden center, and at many of the farmers markets in the summer. Ron III & Christina are expecting their 7th generation farmer in October 2010.

Christina's fall pick: Pie Pumpkins

Amanda Binaghi
Amanda, a 6th generation farmer, grew up on the farm and has enjoyed working at the garden center and farm stand since she was young. She has her degree in elementary education and currently working with special needs children. Even though she teachs full time, you can find her smiling face at all our New Jersery farmers markets in the summer time!

Tom Margotta
Tom Margotta is Stokes Farm's manager. Tom has been with the farm full time since 1989. You can find him at the Union Square Greenmarket on Wednesdays and Fridays, and at the Tribeca Greenmarket on Saturdays.

Tom's fall pick: Cauliflower

Sage Lichtenwalner
Ron & Jeanine's son-in-law, Sage, does a lot of behind the scenes work. He is the photographer of all the beautiful pictures taken of the farm for the web site and assists with the online store and web site.

What's New with the Crew

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Amanda Binaghi & her fiance, Dan Cummings. A July 2012 wedding is planned!

Our favorite little munchkins are getting so big! Here is a picture of Ava, Ronnie & Charlie on Halloween.
