Small Town Farm, Big City Charmronniemarket

For the past 33 years, Stokes Farm has been providing New Yorkers with home-grown produce at the Union Square Greenmarket. As one of the original 12 farmers in the Greenmarket system, Stokes Farm has acquired quite a following of dedicated customers who come to see us every week. We have come a long way since our first market in Union Square in 1976- from firewood and cut flowers to geraniums, fresh cut herbs and a large, diverse line of Jersey Fresh produce. Today, in addition to the Union Square Greenmarket, you can also find Stokes Farm at two other Greenmarket locations from April through December.

[ visit Stokes Farm's Photo Gallery to see pictures from all our markets ]

Check us out on WhatIsFresh.com to see what we will have growing each season & to see other farmers that will be at each market location with us!

We sell our produce to many restaurants and eateries in NYC. Click here for a complete list of all the restaurants where you can enjoy fresh & seasonal Stokes Farm produce at!

Greenmarket in the Media:

Farmer Ron Binaghi Jr. has participated in a number of events discussing how the Greenmarket program has changed the way he farms. You can follow along with the TV, radio and newspaper coverage below, as Ron describes how Greenmarket kept Stokes Farm running and allowed the farm to change with the times to become a largely consumer-driven business.

Lucy's Greenmarket Report

We're often mentioned in Lucy's Greenmarket Report, a semi-regular update on all the latest finds at the Union Square market. Find out what's available at the market this week and stop by and support your local farmers.

Thank You!

We would like to say thank you to all of the customers who have supported us for the past 32 years at Union Square. Through the cold and heat, hurricanes and subway crashes, you still come down to the market to see what's new, chat or just hang out. We appreciate your friendship!
